Key Activities

***This posting is ONLY for youth positions as part of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program. Over the course of the summer, this position will work closely with the Senior Information Manager, Archivist, and Curator and Information Management team to advance the digitization and cataloguing of the NAC’s collection of house programs and other information assets. The position will consist of the following activities:
- Review digital copies of house programs and enter metadata into collection management software;
- Review and correct catalogue entries;
- Conduct research in the collection and provide responses to research requests; and
- Assist with other information management activities as required.

Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma required;
• Familiarity with common collaboration software, such as MS Teams, and productivity software, such as MS Office, is required;
• Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both Official Languages is considered an asset;
• Experience with JSTOR Forum and Adobe Pro is a strong asset;
• Knowledge of scanning software is an asset;
• Experience entering metadata and editing PDF documents is an asset.
