Key Activities

Full-time, Term until August 31, 2022

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Coordinator for the NAC music alive program (MAP) will work with artists, schools, and partners to schedule artist visits and events; assist with participant and artist recruitment; book travel, accommodation, and venues; create and receive artist contracts and other key documents; assist with production details, including programming, for selected MAP events; manage program feedback; manage ongoing MAP records; and create social media posts and online stories for the MAP.

Skill Requirements

• Post secondary degree in Music, Arts Administration, Education or another relevant field of study OR comparable work experience
• Experience organizing live events
• Fluently bilingual in both official languages (verbal and written);
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Ability to work with tight deadlines;
• Advanced level in MS Office Suite software;
• Ability to work both independently and through effective collaboration;
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills;
• Must have a sensitivity to various regional and cultural contexts, including Indigenous context;
• Asset: experience with music education and/or the professional music scene in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nunavut, Manitoba, or the Atlantic provinces;,
• Asset: experience working with Indigenous communities.
