Job Reports To: Parking Supervisor



Key Activities

The Parking Attendant is required to ensure a safe, proper, and orderly flow of traffic in and out of the parking areas of the National Arts Centre (NAC). The incumbent is also required to inspect the parking premises and to report all abnormalities and irregularities to management. They will be also assigned to help clients with the touchless parking equipment at times of entry and exit from the garage. The incumbent also provides information and service to NAC patrons upon their request.

Skill Requirements

• Bilingual in both official languages (English and French) is mandatory;
• High school diploma;
• A minimum of one (1) year of related customer service experience;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, tact and diplomacy;
• Ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision;
• Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with guests;
• First Aid and CPR certificates would be an asset;
• WHMIS training a definite asset and will be required upon hire;
• A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement*.

* Regular attendance at work is an expectation of employment and an essential part of every job.
