Reporting to the 1 Elgin Restaurant’s Manager, you are accountable for the operation of the Bar and to provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to customers and servers. You are also responsible for closing-up the bar at the end of your shift and for balancing cash receipts against the register sales.
Required qualifications:• Post-secondary Diploma and a completion of bartending and mixology program;• Minimum of two (2) years experience in bartending;• “Smart Serve” Certificate;• Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations;• Experience with the general public in a customer service setting;• Experience with money transactions and good working knowledge of P.O.S. system (i.e. Squirrel);• Flexible and available to work within an irregular schedule, weekends, evenings and day shifts;• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment;• Fluency in both official languages is required;• A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement.**Regular attendance at work is an expectation of employment and an essential part of every job.*
