Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for performing a range of duties including but not limited to inspect, repair and maintain mechanical systems, perform trouble shooting and emergency repairs, accompany inspectors and coordinate contractors, maintain cleanliness of work areas, care for tools and equipment, prepare required reports, and perform other duties such as plumbing will be required.

The incumbent also performs emergency work and performs other tasks, as requested.

Skill Requirements

  • Successful completion of secondary school education;
  • Must possess and provide proof of a valid Construction Millwright Certificate of Qualifications;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related millwright position;
  • Good organizational skills, initiative and autonomy;
  • Ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision;
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with clients;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to react quickly in emergency situations;
  • Must be able to stand & exert well paced mobility for up to 8 hours;
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks;
  • WHMIS training a definite asset and will be required upon hire;
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French), oral and written is an asset;
  • A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement*
    *Regular attendance at work is an expectation of employment and an essential part of every job.
