COVID-19 pandemic:

Key Activities

***This posting is ONLY for youth positions as part of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program. Under the dual supervision of the Accounting and Contracts Manager, the Finance Clerk will mainly work on finance transactional work, contracts and procurement and claims review. The incumbent will also perform assist with Finance and procurement systems implementation, as well as miscellaneous administrative tasks such as contracts and data uploads. The incumbent will be an integral part of the Finance team for the duration of the contract.

Skill Requirements

• A university, college or last year CEGEP student with knowledge of administration and business and experience in the field of Finance, Accounting or Commerce;
• Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel;
• Strong data analysis, attention to detail, precision and adaptability;
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Must be able to maintain discretion and absolute confidentiality at all times;
• Ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision;
• Ability to communicate in both official languages (English and French) is a requirement.

As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student’s time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
